Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him said,

ولن يصيب رجل حقيقة الإيمان حتى يترك المراء، وهو يعلم أنّه صادق، ويترك الكذب في المزاحة.

“A man will never reach the reality of Imaan until he abandons disputing even if he knows he is right and to abandon lying in jest.”
